Reporting directly to the National Retail Manager, the Area Manager will oversee our four Kookai Boutiques in Auckland; located at Sylvia Park, Commercial Bay, Ponsonby and Teed Street.
This role is responsible for providing effective and supportive leadership with a particular focus on leading and inspiring a team towards delivery of total customer satisfaction and driving, achieving and exceeding targets. You will be responsible for ensuring staffing, service and store standard levels are maintained in line with company expectations.

What you’ll be doing:
- Developing and maintaining a harmonious working environment to maximise employee commitment and engagement
- Training and coaching Store Managers following our inhouse training guidelines and programs
- Facilitating group training workshops and ensuring training is completed by Store Managers within each store for all team members
- Guiding, supporting and conducting, when necessary, performance discussions in line with company policies
- Managing recruitment with a key focus on upholding a positive candidate experience
- Achieving store profit contribution and KPI targets within the region
- Ensuring store operational requirements are effectively completed
- Ensuring a high standard of store presentation and visual merchandising is maintained
- Analysing sales trends and opportunities and actioning plan accordingly
What we’d love from you:
- Proven experience as an Area Manager and/or Multi Site Manager within a fashion retail business
- Proven experience in leading, engaging and motivating teams
- Proven success in achieving sales and KPI results
- Proficiency in software applications including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint and Excel)
- Ability to present information and respond to queries from senior management on sales performance figures and relevant stock and store information
